You need to go into BIOS and adjust things, if even the time and date. The MB manual have a big list of BIOS options.

What do i need to adjust? When do I load on windows?

Go into the bios and adjust things.......... ROFL. That response should help you, lol.

Load windows, update windows, install mobo chipset drivers, install video drivers, install antivirus, run antivirus. Download coretemp and speedfan and check temps. Download prime 95 and run for a few hours, some say 12 but thats kinda ridiculous if your not overclocking, check for errors.

Yes, install windows, update (all drivers and windows) anti virus, some prime 95 for about 5 min then your favorite game for an hour or more. then box it up and send it to me and I will fully load test it for you for the next twelve months, at no charge! okay okay the first sentence then after having your fill of gaming (assuming you dont get any crashes) you can run prime 95 all night to make sure your stable.

Right idea, wrong order. Have current firewall and antivirus software on hand. Install Windows. Install chipset drivers, the video drivers and any external sound card drivers. Install your firewall and antivirus software. Then go online and download your updates.

OT -- Do you guys think AVG is an adequate antivirus/protection? Or is it worth investing in Norton/McAfee?
