XFX 8800GTS display corruption

So I've had this card for about 4 months (got it 2nd hand though) and have been running it with no problems. Then suddenly a couple of days back it crashed while I was playing a game. Display froze made all sorts of red lines across it and computer just doesn't respond. A restart would result in a blank screen but no warning beeps. Left it for about 15mins and it worked fine again. Same happened 2 days later again and then day after that it crashed a 3rd time.

Except now the POST screen has weird lines all over it, entering BIOS shows corrupt characters (but only certain ones, like uppercase L but not the lowercase) and it completely refuses to boot Windows if I have nVidia drivers installed. Windows works without drivers but there are funny lines across the whole display. Took some screenshots. I have swapped out the card for my roommates Asus 7600GS and that works fine (even with nVidia drivers), couldn't test my card in his pc as it doesnt have the fan power cable. But I believe it's my card and not my BIOS or motherboard, but I could be wrong. So did I somehow fry something on my card or is it something else? Is there any way to fix this?
