I am on a somewhat tight budget for my new build, and I was thinking whether or not I should spend my money in the graphics or the CPU??. I would be using this build for mostly gaming and some basic school stuff. I will be glad to see anything you have to say as ling as it is on topic.
TIA

I cant decide between a Core2 Quad Q8200, q660, or a e8400. I would doing basic oc'ing on all of them. for graphics I was looking at 9800gtx+ or ati 4870. I want my system to last a while.

Edit: lol I just relized that my system is starting to like yours now.

If your budget is 1300, then you can basically get yourself an entirely new i7 rig from newegg.

If you're just looking for an upgrade, then get an E8400 (Games and programs won't use all 4 cores for a long while). Then upgrade your GPU graphics card to something
like a 4870, 4870x2, GTX260, GTX280/285, or GTX295.
