can anyone link me a overclocking 101 or overclocking for dumbies please. i know what it is im looking for a how to step by step kinda thing i want to know it all before my computer comes in that way im ready.

i think im going to try over clocking but i dont know where to start. i guess ill do the cpu then the ram and leave the rest alone.

i7 930, well everyone and there mother has a 4.0 920/930 so id want there but this will be a 24/7 home work and half gaming so its got to be highly stable. thats the thing i dont know how extreme 4.0 is and mine will stay air cooled with the best air cooler.

i saw a bunch of troubleshooting style vids that do trial and error but so many ppl have already done it so cant you just put in there info and come out with the same results??

No. Because you have unique hardware and each system is different. Overclocking IS trial and error. There are no magic settings that work for every one.
