Hello all. This is a newbie question so please bear with me. I got one lan cable connected to my comp. I want to find a way to use that cable to connect my comp, tv and DVR box. I was looking at a hub or a switch but am not sure if those would work with a tv and DVR. I got a samsung TV, un46b7000. The box is the directv HD DVR. Thanks for any help.

That would work. In more detail, you'll want to connect the TV to the DVR through the TV cable, then connect your DVR to a hub, then the hub to your PC.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you can watch shows recorded onto your DVR on your PC. I do know though that Directv supports sending music, videos, and pictures to your TV through the DVR.
