LGA 775 or 1366?

This summer, I'm thinking about possibly upgrading my computer. I'm just wondering whether it would be wise to stick with LGA775, go to LGA1366, or wait for a possibly new version coming out that I somehow don't know about? Thanks.

I would simply go with 1366.

Intel is probably not going to release a new LGA socket until the successor to the i7 series hits the market (2+ years).

Socket LGA 1156 is supposed to be released within the next 6 months. It's to support Core i5.

Yes like he said, core i5 LGA 1156 is coming for the mainstream market, which will eventually replace the 775 socket...And yes you would have to wait for atleast 6 months...
But if you are not willing to wait that long, then go for the LGA1366...

Alright, thanks a lot guys. I'm not in any real rush, and wasn't going to get around to this until August anyways, so I think I'll just wait for the new socket
