Hi all,

I recently upgraded my Vid cards from Twin BFG7800GT OC in SLI to BFG 9800GTX + in SLI... I seam to be having issues with what I think is my PSU... I currently have an Antec Trupower 550W 2.0 installed and until yesterday never had an issue with it.... I had bfg on the phone asking if this was gonna power these cards enough... he after about 10 mins sounded more confused than I did....

My problem is everytime i run 3Dmark 06 when I get to the good 3.0sm tests I get about halfway through the canyon test and POOF it shuts down.... no noise just POOF.... meanwhile the test was going very well.... I push the power button and it starts right back up.... well tonight it decided to do the same thing while doing the stupid Vista Index score test... a first for that...

I have played COD5 with all the bells and whistles on and not an issue... just benchmarking seams to shut it down...

My question is am I hitting the undervoltage, overvoltage protection on this unit? Is that why its shutting down? The PSU has dual 12V+ rails at 18A per rail...

I have no problem upgrading the psu but need suggestions trying to stay $150.00 and down... Looking at the obvious... Corsair TX750w after rebate at Tiger its only 94 dollars

System specs (will be upgrading MB and CPU soon)

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2ghz
x2 BFG9800GTX+ SLI
4GB Corsair VS/ 4 1gb slots or aka x2 2gb matched pairs..
320gb Seagate Sata
DVDRW
Antec Trupower 550w 2.0PSU
