Hello.

I was told it's possible to make your graphics card lend ram from your system ram.

I have the geforce 6600 gt 128 mb ram. I want it to have atleast 256. I have 3 gigs of system ram.

Is this possible?

No this isn't possible with your card, but there is a thing known as turbocache on very lowend/intergrated graphics that uses system memory, which is probably why you are confused. Your card does not need system memory as it has its own. System memory is much slower then graphics RAM so its not viable for anything above the ultra low end.

your graphics card is a "discrete" card, which means it has its own memory bus, memory, etc.

you can only share memory between the lower end "integrated" graphics cards.

if your video memory is an issue, there are alot of budget cards today that come with 512mb of video ram standard, you can get many of them for under $50, like the 8600GT, or the ATI 4630....
