Replaced a fan in a Optiplex GXa with a standard 2-wire fan. System did not like it. I knew better, the screaming fan in the PC had 3 wires. I ordered 5 of the correct fans, installed it (all 5 were tried) and sometimes the PC gets to a fan failure message, and sometimes it just turns off seconds after it is turned back on. Dell chat service was no help.
