Dvd writer not working in my pc

my dvd writer is not booting ones working ones not working what is the problem plz tell me the problem

Check bios that you enable optical drive as boot device. Check bios that sata port is enabled for both dvd drive. If ide drive, make sure you have the correct jumper setting and connected the master and slave drive in the right order along the length of the connection cable. Jumper settings for ide drives are on written or engraved on the drives. Master drive on the end of the cable and slave drive in the middle for ide.

This problem appears when DVD ROM lens is weak or there is dust in the DVD ROM... Cleaning it may fix the problem...!
