I've been living in Congo for a while and latched my LNBF (dual
polarity, V/H and FTA receiver) for PAS-10, arabsat, afristar and
other satellites. So far, I didn't have any problem with vertical and
horizontal polarity. But now, when I was trying to get "Canal Algérie"
for watching Euro 2004 game in NSS-7 satellite, found the frequency to
be Right polarized. My LNBF has also a "dielectric plate" into the
throat of the feedhorn which I didn't use so far. After googling for a
while I figured out that it is possible to receive right polarized
signal in negligeble loss with that dielectric plate placed 45 degree
to the normal. Now, can you please tell me the angle position of those
2 V/H antennas for getting Right polarized signal? I've been trying
for 4 days. The games are slipping by.

Well, do you know any satellite tv station (V/H) carrying Euro 2004
for free over Africa? That will be a great help for me.

Thanks in advance.

Try 12735 H 16638 but that's not directed at you.

Arabsat, you say? Maybe ERI TV, 11747 V 27500, is possible. RTM1 and
Al Jazeera Sports might be worth a shot on 7W if you have that.

I'm not really sure what channels broadcast to Africa, can't find a list
and don't know about R/L polarity much beyond "don't think I can get that".
