Hi Friends,

This is Venkatesh. My Computer Monitor is blinking when I switch on CPU. CPU is on successfully. I got it checked by a computer hardware mechanic and he told me that it is a processor problem. How can I know whether it is really processor problem or not?

The CPU is the processor. You mean when you switch on the PC the monitor blinks.

Ummm....well you would try another processor....

Hey, I have had the same problem! Just after BIOS loaded (or sometimes during), the monitor went black and kept on turning on and off. Weird problem. This was caused by my GPU, not CPU.

One idea: try resetting the PC 20x or so. Oddly enough, after this, my PC booted again. If yours does as well, the cause will not be the CPU.

Other quick check: enter the bios and check whether you CPU is recognized, not too hot etc.
