Your motherboard support Hybrid CrossFire. So why not utilise that feature.
If you use a nVidia card, it is possible to set or turn OFF onboard Graphics in BIOS and only enable the one connected to PCIe slot. Don't install ATi drivers and nVidia drivers together if you intend to use only one GPU. If you plan on to get 9600GT, then no need to install ATi display driver. Install all other drivers(motherboard drivers) except ATi display driver(only if you intend to disable onboard graphics in BIOS). An efficient 400W would be o.k for 9600GT.

For utilising benefits of Hybrid CrossFireX, use ATi cards.

no it wont. Hybrid crossfire, or sli, has been seen to do well only with low end cards. It wouldn't benefit a good card much at all.

The thing that you can do is have the system shut down the main card and use the integrated while your in windows and have it boot up again when your in game:)

But no, if you get a 9600 GT don't expect to have the gains that you see in those charts.

I would stick to Ati anyways. I mean you can get a 4830 right now for pretty damn cheap, depending where you live. And teh 4830 is stronger than the 9600 GT, though ppl will tell you that it kills it....its just stronger:)
