I am thinking about taking VMC Satellite on their offer for a 4 room
HTDV and possibly DVR system for my house.

I am wondering if anyone has any opinion of them or directTV? Are there
any hidden gotcha's? Service fees? etc??

Or does anyone know of a better deal? I am looking for a 3-4 TV system
with at least 1 HTDV receiver and a DVR for their top 120 package.

I live in Lynnwood about 20-30 miles noth of Seattle Washington.

Any opinions or ideas would be appreciated.

VMC is fine. i bought my DishTv equipment through them and had no problems
at all. They are just a resller for dish. Your install is done by Dish
staff. However, DirecTv seems to work much better. With DirecTv you get
fully functional Tivo and you own it as opposed to Dish where you lease a
non Tivo DVR.

I got a 4 room system thru them, with hd receiver and dual dvr receiver and 1
standard receiver in the 4th room.Just be clear on the monthly price.they
will charge you $5 per month for each additional receiver after the first
one.But everything went smoothly. Alan

Per the other posts, VMC must be a dealer of DishNetwork. OK, no problem.
DIRECTV offers HDTV receivers around $300 and Tivos starting around $100.
Both Dish and DTV charge $4.99 for the 2nd and each additional box.

If you'd like more info regarding DTV, send me an email.
