I am running Win 7 on an Acer Asipre 5050 and completely confused about this...

Negative. I have nothing attached but an USB keyboard + mouse. Nothing in the DVD drive as well.

Well the "PXE-E53 " stuff means it's trying to boot off the network. Either it didn't find a hard drive, or something switched the BIOS to boot from network first. Get in the BIOS (usually F12 or F2 or DEL) while booting and switch it to a hard drive.

Last time I got a message like this a USB pen drive was left in, and it tried to boot from that.

I think you are one to something. I got into the BIOS and 1. is CD-Rom. What should i moved to boot priority:

Network Booth:

Realtek Boot agent
IDE 0
IDE 4
USB HDD
USB KEY

This is not a work computer. I have tried selected IDEO0 as first but it still craps out.. It just keep cycling through with that error I posted.. say OS not found... then keeps trying and still says OS not found.. Could this be a HD issue? I didn't drop the laptop or anything like that and I can hear it spin up when I put power to it.
