4870 vs gtx 260

So, I need a video card for this new build that i'm working on, and it looks like it has come down to the HD4870 or the GTX 260 Core 216. Which one do you guys think would be the better choice?

Thanks for the link, that really helped out. Looks like i'm gonna go with the GTX 260.

That article compares the 512 MB version of the 4870. The 1 GB version slightly beats the Core 216 version in most games, and by a pretty good margin in games like COD.

Yeah I would go for the 1gb 4870, especially if you use high resolutions (1680+). I'm surprised they didn't do the 1GB in the tests... Part of the reason they made the Core216 was to compete with the 4870 1GB, so they say.
