A4 size in pixels for 1024*768

select html page, go to print, select A4 paper size, select fit to page...

I'm not sure what your 1024x768 is referring to, you need to explain your problem further...

i m using jpg image which is 1024*768 .when i am taking print of that image im getting fully A4 size paper printout and when iam inserting in html page as backgound image and then printing it then im not getting A4size printout.Ihad set margin also to 0.

check your printer print settings. different programs handle margins and printable area differently.

Another thing is that image resolution has nothing to do with paper size because depending on scaling/zooming/fitting options the image will be scaled/resized/fitted to specific size typically paper size specified.
