Alright, I'm going to be building a new system here shortly.

Currently, I'm running a EVGA 512-P3-N845-AR GeForce 8800GTS (G92) KO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16. At first, I was planning on running two of them in SLI... since I figure any card short of a GTX 280 isn't going to compete with both of these cards. These hopes were dashed, because no matter where I look I CANNOT find another one of these cards for the life of me >.<.

So now I'm forced to look at alternate solutions. What should I be looking for, now that I can't run this card in SLI. I have a budget of about 200-300$ slotted for a card, maybe 350$ if I push it. I could probably get a GTX 285 for around 349$. Would a 285 perform better than say, a bunch of cheap 8800GTs in SLI?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D. I have my system specs below:

Quad Q6600 (OC 3.4Ghz)
Thermaltake Toughpower 750w Modular PSU
OCZ Platinum 2x2GB DD2 1066
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775

Edit: I guess if anything, I would probably get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130446 if I couldn't find another GTS.

Seems good, but the older GTX280s` are cheaper and are only a few percent slower.
And you might want to check out some HD4870 1Gb card rewiews as well, with the recent price cuts they are excellent value.
And do n`t forget o check out craiglist and the evergreen Ebay.
