Now I know that the 4850 is better..

But is it really worth the ~$40-$60 price increase?

Basing the card I buy on FPS in Crysis.

For 1680x1050 get a 4850, less than that get 4830.

The 4830 is packs a punch for the price of it, if your on a tight budget go for the 4830 if your budget is higher go for the 4850. The 4830 has the tendency to overclock to the same results as a 4850 if you have good airflow.
