Help with new video card :)

Hi all!

I'm thinking of buying a new video card and im stuck as which one to get, i currently have
e6400@ 2.7
2gb ram
550w psu
8600 gt 256mb
Asus P5VD2-MX mobmy price range is around the 9800gtx or ati 4850 or 9800gt? lol

i use it for games mainly (race driver grid, cod 5, gta 4) at 1440x900

any idea;s or thoughts would be appreciated

side note: i noticed in cpu z that my mobo is pci ex rev 1.0 and these newer cards are 2.0 is that a big enough difference to warrent getting a new motherboard?

side note 2: (sorrylol) will the video card be bottlenecked by the e6400?

An HD4830 would be perfect for that resolution. It will not be bottlenecked by your CPU.

2.0 is backwards compatible.

At that resolution a card like 4830 would do the trick should be able to play those games with all the eye candy.

4830 would be the best for your resolution, anything else would be a little overkill

That ASUS 4830 is a damn steal. Even moreso if the MIR is honored. That would be a really good Crossfire solution for under $150
