Hi all

I currently have an Asus P5WDH Deluxe that seems to have failed, one of the reasons I purchased this originally was for the "EZbackup" function which allowed disk mirroring that was entirely transparent to the OS (i.e no driver was required to install XP, the array appeared as a single disk to the OS). This was managed by a separate RAID controller on the mb.

Having checked the recent Asus boards, whilst the instruction pdfs are not all that clear, it appears that the ezbackup function is now managed in the os through software and thus requires a driver?

Is anyone aware of a board / manufacturer out there with this function as standard? I'm currently undecided on what I want on the new build chip wise, so this can influence the decision...

TIA

The Asus P5Q Pro, P5Q Deluxe, etc. include the EZ Backup (hardware RAID 1) feature. You can configure it in the BIOS or the software.
