Hi, I just installed an HD4670 and since I didn't have access to the disk that came with the card I searched the web for the HDMI driver. Well after installing the driver I have now lost sound all together. Previously all sound was coming through my main sound card and some generic speakers. I thought installing the hdmi driver would
A) remove the add hardware notification every time I boot up
B) also give me sound through my TV when connected by HDMI.
I checked the volume controls and nothing is muted, I do see that in addition to my sound blaster there is an hdmi rear option but when I switch between the different devices nothing is muted and everything is turned.
What should I do?
[edit] turns out I lose sound only on the web browser, at least that's what I've tested so far, ventrilo still has sound etc.
When I disable the tv and set it to my flat panel again I still lose sound on the browser until I close and reopen it.

In order to get sound from your video card's HDMI port, i believe you have to connect a cable from your video card to your SPDIF connection on your motherboard or sound card. Try looking in your manual for your sound card.
I just installed an open-box 4670 and had the same problem. It was easily fixed by going into the computer BIOS and forcing the motherboard to use my motherboard's sound, not something else.
