I have a XFX 9600 GSO 768MB card and I need to turn the fan down. The newest drivers don't give you the capability to do this. What do I do. My set up is XP Pro,Intel Duo E6600, Intel DQ45CB Board PCI-E,500W Silencer Power Supply, Blue Ray DVD, and Haupauge 150 card with wifi internet. This is my PVR so I need Quiet to watch the 42 Plasma TV/Monitor.I had an NVIDEA 8800GT before this and it's fan came on at start up then turned down and was quietbut not this one, Can anyone help?

The XFX 9600 GSO has a 2 pin fan arrangement, you can't change the speed of the fan with Rivatuner or other software. The fan plugs in and runs at it's preset speed. The cheapest way to reduce it's fan speed is by wiring it to run at 7v or 5v to lower it's speed. Here's a tutorial that explains it with pics.

There are other options, but this is free and just takes a little time.
