Idiot trying to fix his own pc please help

Hello,
my xp disk was scratched and only part installed and now i\'m stuck in an endless cyucle of the pc trying to finish that install. can someone help me to partition the drive from the bios menu or one of the f keys i have an e machines t2240 please help me i am not great with computers so please keep jargon to a minimum

Get a new disk to install from. That was pretty minimal I think. If you contact emachines they will be able to get you a restore disk for your model for not too much cost.

Or if you can borrow an XP OEM disc (same version - Home, Pro, etc) from a friend, do so and install with your license key. Download the drivers from eMachines' website.
