MSI Eclipse Plus or Eclipse SLI?

I'm putting a new Core i7 gaming system together and I've been leaning toward the MSI Eclipse SLI motherboard. It was rated well by Tom's Hardware in their $300 X58 mobo roundup, especially regarding expansion slots and the fact they are arranged where you can actually use them. Now I see MSI is about to release the Eclipse Plus, which appears to be the same as the SLI board accept that it has four 16x slots versus three and has the NF200 chip. Just trying to decide if I should wait for the Plus or just go ahead with the SLI. The Eclipse SLI is already pretty expensive. If the Plus comes out above $400, that would probably be a deal killer but I just wanted to know if it might be worth it.

I probably will never do more than 2-way SLI ever, so having four 16x slots is a little overkill for me, except that I could use the extra slot for some other kind of card in the future. I tend to keep systems for 5 years, so expandability is important to me. Thanks.

If you will not do more than 2 cards I do not really see the point in waiting. I ordered the sli version then found out the plus will be released. I will be running 3 cards and kinda wish I had waited. I will let you know how the board does when it arrives this week.

Due to the price ($400 vs $315) and the fact I will never do more than dual SLI, I think I'll go with the SLI.

I have the msi eclipse plus now and love it. Running 3 xfx gtx 285's and my 920 is running at 3.5 no problem. Not tried to go higher as of yet but everythign is stock voltages.

the 920 is the least expensive edition running at 2.66 and I have it overclocked easily at 3.5. I can run benchmarks at 4.0 and even at 4.2 if I mess around enough with voltages.
