The nVidia GTX 285 will likely start to come down in price when the sales are starting to get hurt by the fact that the 4890 can match it easily and the GTX 275 is the same thing on lower resolutions. Also the 4770 will likely upset the entire midrange of the market in GPUs. Besides that, no there will be no price reductions in the immediate future.

The 4770 looks interesting but I am woundering why ATI isn't doing a 4890 based on the 40nm stepping.......

They're experimenting with a new process and so it is likely that they can not get the clocks up as high as they would like as there are undoubtedly many bugs to work out.
