Ok, I have a minor issue that I'd like to have cleared up. I have a 32" samsung LCD and a 9600 gt GPU. When I play crysis in dx9, there are 3x the display options available all the way up to 1680 x 1050. But when I play in DX10 the highest setting available is 1280 x 720. Has anyone else had this issue? Can I fix it in order to get higher resolutions in dx10? Could it be my video card? Lastly, every display setting in dx9 works with my tv so why wouldn't I have those higher res settings in dx10? Thanks in advance.

The native res is 720p but like I was saying, I can run every resolution option in dx9 including 1440 x 900, 1378 x 768, and all the other resolutions that this tv isn't known to run. In other games that use dx10, this isn't an issue just crysis.

I hooked up a vga cable in addition to my hdmi and now I can use res as high as 1600 x 900 in dx 10 and 1980 x 1080 in dx9...I have no idea why these extra resolutions become available when I hook up through vga. I read somewhere you can modify the settings for any custom resolution. Does anyone know how to do it?

I've got a similar problem. I can't play DX10 games using 1440x900 res which my native res with GTX260. I dont know what's with DX10, thats why im playing some games at 1280x720, shhhh.

To manage a custom res, use nvidia's control panel. Of course if you are Nvidia'er

I can help here, just open the command console, and adjust the resolution manually, it works perfectly fine, it will even appear once you set it, but if you switch resolutions, you have to do it again. If your unsure of the parameters, just change the resolution with the console open. Just set the restriction to this con_restricted=0. Just copy paste it in. I have no idea why extra modes are appearing, but if your monitor can support it, you should be able to manually config the resolution. Oh, you edit the resolution in Crysis by typing
r_width = (insert res here)
r_height = (insert res here)
