Hi,
My PC is A64 4200x2 939 on ASRock 939SLI eSata. I have 350W Fortron PSU. My current VGA is X850XT PE. A while ago I bought 3850 and when I put it, plugged the external power cable the computer couldn't start. The beep code was the same as if there is no vga on the PCIe slot(I tried that to determine it). So I returned the VGA, but now I want to buy HD4670. Unfortunately because I couldn't determine why the previous card didn't work, I'm scared that the new one might also fail to work on my system. Do you have any idea why did it happen

X850 works perfectly. I wasn't worried about the power, because according to the internet psu calcs 3850 uses less power than x850xt. I thoufht it was some sort of incompatibility between the MB and VGA or something to do with the PCIe 1.0 slot and 2.0 VGA. I guess I have to try it anyway :)

2.0 is backwards compatible.
