Which processor do I have?

In Windows Vista, it show the Welcome Center when you turn on your computer. In Welcome Center, it tells me my processor is 1.73 Ghz, but it does not tell me which processor I have. I did some research, and the Internet told me I had a Pentium processor. the problem is, my computer has a Core 2 Duo processor. Could somebody please tell me which one I have?

Google for a simple program called CPU-Z. It will provide you with that info.

You probably have a Core 2 Duo, but Windows is only detecting one of them. Is your core speed 1.8GHz or close to? If so, that will be your problem.
