MATX, Phenom II X4 955 CPU Fan

I am going to be building a mATX rig using the Phenom II X4 955 and I was hoping to be able to replace the stock fan to open up the possibility for overclocking in the future. The case I am planning on using is the NZXT Vulcan. Does anyone know of any CPU fans that will fit and work well? Or does anyone know how well the stock fan works, because I just assumed that it wasn't that good. Thanks!

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

U should fine with a cooler non higher that 170mm. The hypere 212+ is a solid option and fit in ur case.

If u don't want do OC, the stock cooler is enough.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've read that with the Vulcan's 200mm side fan, there are some clearance issues. The Hypere 212 Plus is listed at a height of 159mm (from Amazon). Do you know if this is an issue?

Could it be since the 200mm fan use 30mm or a little more so the available space will be 150 with the fan and the Hyper is 158.5mm
