I am running MSI 790FX-GD70 on vista home premium 64 bit with 2 pairs of ocz gold amd edition ram and the amd x4 955

they are suppose to be running at 1600 but they defaulted or auto or whatever to 1066 (i think)

and i don't really know how to get them up to 1600 in bios, i realize that the mobo dosent support 1600 by default, but i also wonder why it didn't auto down to 1333?

my mobo bios is supposed to be awesome but it was not obvious to me how to change the ram

Probably because it's OCed 1066 ram. Go into the bios and set the voltage and timing to manufactures spec. Now start cranking the mem MHz gradually. If its OCed ram there is no guarantee it will run at 1600MHz.
