MY NEW gigabyte ep45 ds3p motherboard has a 8 pin EATX connector. When i connect the four pin into the slot the computer doesn't boot successfully. Ive tried using adapters and was unsuccessful, Could someone give me a link to a sufficient PSU for under 100 dollars
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Please list your pc components.
Are you a hardcore gamer?
Do you overclock your pc?
SLI or Crossfire?
Which cable adapter did you use?
What happens when you turn on your computer? Any lights? Fans? Anything?
Without additional information it is almost impossible to diagnose a problem or make a recommendation. In fact, the problem may not even be your psu.

johnny lucky, my pc doesnt boot . The cPu fan doesnt spin when the 4 pin ATX is in and it reboots after a couple of seconds.
In the manual it says u need a 8 pin ATX to power the CPu and DVD drives

Your new CoolerMaster power supply comes with one 4 pin, 12 volt, cpu power cable and one 8 pin, 12 volt, cpu power cable. You're supposed to plug in the 8 pin, 12 volt, cpu power cable into your new Gigabyte motherboard.

It would be faster cause that 1GB is not running in Dual Channel mode....its just 1 stick
DDR2 ram is very inefficient w/o dual channel

+1 what Silverion77 said.

Generally speaking when you have DDR2 dual channel memory capabilities you must use an even number of memory modules for it to work. If there are an odd number of memory modules, then the system goes back to single channel mode.

I have done all of that everything is connected and the PC wont boot properly im starting to think its the CPU. Symptoms , It restarts after a few seconds, THE CPU fan spins very slowly, When the 8 pin ATX isn't in the CPU is not running and the PC doesn't restart
