Core temp lower than Cpu temp

I thought the core temp is supposed to be higher than the cpu temp. Apparently, my core temp is 25 C idle and my cpu temp is 31 C idle. (Using multiple software like Everest and Speedfan)
I have an Athlon x4 630 which is overclocked with a hyper 212 plus.
So can anyone tell me why my cpu temp is higher than my core temp?

  1. Core Temps. are calculated and the CPU Temp. is monitored via an on board sensor. Most of the time the CPU Temp. is way more accurate, but even they can have cliches or give misreadings.
Any gauge is never 100% spot on, an should be used as a guide-line for seeing something out of the ordinary during normal use to help prevent failure of an component.
