Hello, I have built a new PC. For 3 months it was ok, but now when I'm rendering project in Sony Vegas (CPU works on max) it just shuts down. I don't know what to do. It happens every time. Maybe I should underclock CPU (it wasn't overclocked).

CPU Phenom 9950 2.6 Ghz x4
PSU 700W
RAM 8Gb
GPU 4870 X2

Sounds like an overheating problem to me. If you're stretching the CPU to its maximum capability its going to get hot easily. What teperature does it sit around when its idoling?

Downloading something like Everest, it will tell you the temperature of your CPU and your MOBO. When you start rendering, keep an eye on the temperature and see if it increases or stays around the same. I wouldn't be concerned if it increases 1 or 2 degrees, but that depends on how high the temperature is when its idoling.

Normaly CPU temperature ir around 60C, but when I start rendering it goes up to 102C and then shuts down! What can I do ?

60°C sounds a little toasty for an idle temp. Check to make sure that your chassis and CPU fan settings are right, if it's not set already, then have them all running flat out for a while and see it that reduces temps.

If that makes no significant headway then make sure that the CPU cooler is seated correctly. Not sure if you'd remember from 3 months ago, but did you make sure that the thermal paste was properly applied? Are you using stock cooling? It shouldn't make that much difference if you are.....

Don't what ever you do disable auto-shutdown for high temps!!

EDIT: What is you CPU Vcore setting?

Using Vegas with a Phenom 9600 @ 2.6GHz my load temps are 44c.

Remove your side panel and see how much your temps drop. If you are using the stock HSF make sure you 'flipped' the latch.

I think that there is a problem with thermal paste it wasnt applied correctly. I will buy some tomorrow and write if that helped. Thank you all for your answers ! And sorry for my bad english.
