Blue Stop Screen

Will only boot in safe mode. Stays on for a few seconds in regular start mode and goes to the blue screen. I have run AVG's reg fix multiple times.

What has happened to cause this ?
If virus, get a boot mode scanner, one that starts off CD and does not go to windows.
McAfee Avert Stinger is a free DL and standalone app., but if system unstable it won't work. Seems you have damaged windows drivers, to save data re-install windows without formatting. If you don't care for the data, re-partition and re-format before re-installing.
