how to access one computer from another trhough LAN from remote desktop.

you could do it by going to start run then type in "cmd"
press enter now you'll see windows comand prompt (a black window with white fonts)
now type in there "shutdown -i" and press enter
now you'll see remote shutdown dialog box
now here you click add computer then you get a box now you type in a ip address
then fill the rest, like what you want the computer to do
now if you want the target computer to shutdown you select shutdown
and the reason
now if you want to shutdown a server you should goto run type in cmd press enter
ping ( i gave this for an example) then copy the ip address
the information i give should not be missused or even if it's misused im not ressponsible for the penalties

The OP is not interested in shutting down computers. They want to have remote desktop access, to use the other computer, not kill it.
