Is flashing BIOS a good idea even if you are having no performance problems? Some say that it results in better performance and fixes bugs, but if you are not experiencing those bugs, and the manufacture didn't implement any performance improvements, only fixes for bugs that you are not encountering, should you still flash the BIOS up to date all the time?

Whenever you flash the bios, you take a risk of rendering your motherboard useless without recovery. This can happen if the flash fails badly.
Therefore you should not flash to fix a problem that you do not have, or one that is not bothersome.
If you do flash, be very careful to fully understand how to do it and what your recovery options may be.

I just updated the bios, and found out that all it did is limited by overclock ability, used to be able to do 400fsb, now I can only do 320.
