Hi guys

My 4870x2 is getting weird since I got the 9.1

(8.12)B4 when I was playing Crysis and GTA IV the fan speed was at 60% and the temperature at 84 degrees celsius.
But now the fan speeds at 100% and the temperature in Crysis is 90 degress celsius and in GTA IV the fan speed is at 85% and temperature 85-92 degrees celsius.

I havent touched anything in CCC.

Help me :(

Thank you :pt1cable:

BTW: Im from Denmark :sol:

um, at 100% fan speed your fan would not last long... and sound like a jet.

Nonono.. its sounds like an airport :/

well, revert to 8.11 and see if that changes anthing... if it doesn't your card is malfunctioning, simple as that.

At 100% fan speed your GPu would idle at like 40 C

8.12 is older than 9.1. Also, I don't think it's physically possible for the 4870x2 to run at 90C at 100% fan speed unless you packed your case with dust - it moves too much air.

maybe 9.1 has the card working more

I tjecked everything for dust, for 3 days ago, and I got the driver yesterday..

Well, you still need to test the old driver you should be able to find it using google.

Also, use multiple tools to check your GPU temps.

I am using CCC and Gpu-Z

I have just dl'ed the 8.12.... but no difference..

if it helps, i have been experiencing issues with my 4850, games acting weird, not getting as much FPS, card running a little hotter... all with both 8.12 AND 9.1...

yea, um, have you owned a 4870X2 good sir ? I HIGHLY doubt it, ask anyone who owns one, if you crank it to 100% and leave it that way for an extended period of time, it seriously would come close to exploding, these coolers are not meant to run anywhere near that speed.
