I'm a photographer who is a complete novice when it comes to high-end LCD monitors, having exclusively used CRT's for various reasons up until now.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop running Vista 32 which utilises the GMA 4500 MHD graphics card - it has a 16:9 screen ration and has a VGA output. Would the Eizo CE240W Monitor (16:10 screen ratio) marry with this without any problems in terms of the graphics card and screen ratio?
That is a nice monitor!! Can't say the same about the GMA4500. It really sucks as a graphics accelerator but you wont have any kind of problems with connection and compatibility. It will work fine. Just don't try playing games...

Thanks for your reply - much appreciated.
Yeah, I won't be playing games - just editing images.
