For some strange reason I cannot boot past my raptor drive when ahci is enabled. It just hangs and does nothing till I reset the comp. It works with my dvd drive but not the hard drive.

Based on the details you've provided, I'm thinking that your chipset drivers are not up-to-date, or corrupted. Does it hang when Windows tries starting, or before?
