First of all, I know this is a very stupid question, but I do want to find out.
I have a IDE DVD burner, and I am building a new desktop using 790X MB with SATA interface.
If I want to use this IDE DVD burner in my new desktop, do I have to get an "IDE to SATA adapter"? I read the comments on those adapters on newegg. Most of them don't have good reviews except this one:
However, this plus shipping and tax will be $22, already half price of a new SATA DVD burner.
Is there anyway else to make it work? Is it worth to spend $22 on an adapter?
Thank you for your help!
