I have started a thread trying to resolve an issue with my brand new 4870 x2 AntiAliasing.
People have been saying Nvidia rules and there is hardly any issues with these cards.
I have ran tests with an 88000 GTS and still encountered the same issues. Some said you can not compare a dual GPU card with a single GPU.
I was hoping that you guys outhere running on a dual GPU nvidia could help me out and post some screen shots of the following while AA is enabled.
Before i spend money on a GTX 295 i want to make sure i am not just making the wrong decision.
DeadSpace (Any Indoors Scene)
GTA IV (Any scene )
Assassin's Creed (While on a top of building)
NFS Undercover
Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway (Any indoors Scene)
3DMARK Vantage Jane Nash (Scene when she was running before jumping into the water )
I would very much appreciate your help guys.

uhhh, what exactly are you tryin to ask...?
well, 4x AA and 8xAA and so on will be the same on any card. i beleive that nvidia has a darker effect on jaggies, but really its a very small differance that you would have to look very close to notice it..
AA is the same on either nvidia or ati.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply, though did you lookup the screenshots ? they are terrible on the ATI..so are you saying it is the same on Nvidia's GTX series ?
Could you post some screenshots if you could.
Thanks in advance.

ATI cards should be doing better in dx 10.1 games, but really I see both companies doing AA the same. The judge of AA is more of a Vram problem
I highly doubt the 260 GTX with extra ram does worse than the 4850 512 when it comes down to percentage hit, since the 260 GTX has a higher Vram count.

ok, but i do only have 2 3870s. not exactly 4870x2 class <a href="http://s492.photobucket.com/albums/rr282/HDgamer117/?action=view¤t=Crysis2009-02-1009-51-54-28.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr282/HDgamer117/Crysis2009-02-1009-51-54-28.jpg" border="0" alt="with AA"></a>
There is a noticeable difference. Though I think worst case scenario you can do 2xs aa...and most ppl can't tell the difference between 2x and 4x I use to be obsessed with max AA... until I found out you need to let go, when I bought the best video card out and even that couldn't max a game with out AA in some cases

yehh, i used to be OBSESSED with AA lol. couldnt stand those jaggies but then i went to crysis and soon figured out that 3870s arent enough to crank up AA. but now i kinda ignore them and just focuse on killing koreans instead.
