I planning on purchasing a 4850 to replace my 3850 which cannot seem to cut it these days.

My question is it better to pay the extra for a 1 gig over the 512?

My spec
CPU: Q6600
Ram: 4 gig
LCD: Samsung 203B 1440 * 1050

Cards i am looking at

I feel tat u can go wit the 512 and save some money....for ur resolution the 512 would be suffice....

But if u ask me then u sould get this
SAPPHIRE 100259L Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail around $190
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

And u don have to worry abt the fps...and the power...

Yeah my Sapphire 4870 1GB runs around 40c idle and 50-60 while gaming with 800/1000 clocks, I recommend it. A lot better temps than my old GDDR4 3870.

Plus its purty. :)
