I got my wife a Q9400 with GIGABYTE P45/ICH10R MB. According to the CPUID Hardware Monitor & Real Temp, Core 0,2,3 are about 30~34 but Core1 is 20~24. Is that normal?

I installed Q9400 with the Xigmatek S1283 with retention bracket. I have tried reapplied the thermal compound and reinstalling the HSF but same temp.

What are the load temps?

It's common to have a stuck or bad sensor. My E8400 at idle states 32c and 39c, but under load they even out.

under load Core 1 is always 10~15C degress lower than the Core 0.2.3.

My guess is that those temps are not accurate.
