Most definitely the CPU, most 920s can't go over without massive voltage.

What voltages are you using? My i7 920 takes 1.48v for 200BCLK, I haven't tried anything higher because Intel says anything over 1.4v is already unsafe.

I recently got a i7 930 that can do 200BCLK with 1.3v but I have yet to push it any further.

I'm no expert on your question but 200 bclk is not too bad from what i've read.
Here's Gigabyte own guide for oc'ing your mobo

200 base clock is pretty high... Also depends on what multiplier you're using. Hyper threading. Turbo. Turn off HT and turbo... those are going to require significantly more voltage to run. Still not working, either keep giving it juice or lower the multiplier. It'll take lots of Vcore AND Vtt. From my experience OCing 15 750, Vtt/IMC is needed for higher base clock/speed while Vcore is needed for higher multipliers/having turbo and HT will also need more vcore.

i am using 1.44 v\core
1.515 Qpi/vtt any lower wont run my 2000mhz ram
and a 21x multiplier

Will this be a good build to overclock 2500k to 5.0GHz?

I'm the one that told him that a Silver Arrow will get to 5Ghz, so I'll take the blame...
