GTX 280

Crysis - 1920x1200 - Very High/Max (different?) Details - No AA

In this 4870 review, the GTX 280 gets 38.3 FPS with a QX6850.

In the PII AM3 review the same GTX 280 with an i7 920 gets 22.03 FPS.

In the 4870 review it still manages 26.4 FPS with AA4X + AF.

What am I missing? I'm sure it's something obvious, but I'm unable to figure it out. Help a new jack out.

ALSO, why is the forum now in French? Where might I set it to English?

Can anyone shed light on either of the previous posts? I'm actually more interested in the French thing now.

There is a language setting for the site in the top right corner. Select either North America or UK and you will be back to english.

Tom's reviews written in the last couple of years are renowned for their inconsistency and general crapiness. Don't expect the results from different reviews to agree as they were most likely done by two different review teams in different countries using different hardware.

Yea, tried that at first but it didn't change anything. Not sure what the problem is.

This is unfortunate. I was kind of shocked when I read those numbers this morning as I had just seen the others a few days back while researching the 4780.

Thanks for the input on both.
