Correct! Use the lowest voltage possible that will still give you stability. What I did with my i7-920 after OCing it to 3.82 GHz was to lower the voltage until it experienced instability, then I raised the voltage a little to ensure sustained stability. Currently my system is running at 3,82 GHz - very stable - idle temps around 30 degs C.
