Phenom 810 x4 or 720 x3

Hi everyone ,
I have about £200 to spend on a mobo and chip , any recommendations? , I dunno whether I would be better off with the 810 or 720 be ,, they both have positives and negatives ....... decisions , decisions

what is it for? gaming, workstation or internet etc.

well , really an allrounder , I do the odd bit of gaming , (mostly cnc and medieval 2 )but mostly stuff like , photoshop ,after effects etc

Well I think you'd get more value out of the Phenom II 720...true the 810 has an extra core but it has less cache and you can OC the 720 much better.

So if you feel the fourth core is necessary, go 810, otherwise i think 720 is the best bet.

Definitely the 720. This is a question I just looked at myself, and the logic I came up with (with prices over here in the U.S.) was the tiny amount of benefit I would see from the 4th core in no way was worth the extra chunk of money.
