Roller coaster tycoon 2 wont play on windows xp

Hello,
I have installed roller coaster tycoon 2 on our home pc. . . it runs windows xp. when i try to play it, a black screen appears with no game. Anyone else have this problem

I had tons of trouble with RCT2. I bought RCT3 and never looked back.
You might consider getting RCT3 and have a much better game in the process of ridding yourself of troubles.

There are a few "trainers" available by Google search that make the game better.
