I was playing an old video game (Madden 04- nothing too high end) and it suddenly stopped. When I re-booted my system, it did not load up properly (Dell/BIOS screen did not boot up) and the black screen slowly turns white from the sides. My computer still starts occasionally but it is very inconsistent and sometimes the screen locks up.

This exact situation happened with my old computer but I just assumed that the computer was about to crash. Now it started on my new computer (about 6 months old) and I am wondering if the video game somehow is the culprit and fried the video card/motherboard.

My system is a PII Dual Core 2.4 with an NVIDIA 8400 GS. Can anyone help?
